Dit artikel richt zich op EMI-onderdrukkingsmethoden voor productontwerpers en bronnen van elektromagnetische interferentie (EMI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EMC verwijst naar het vermogen van een apparaat, apparaat of systeem om in de beoogde omgeving te werken zonder significante elektromagnetische interferentie te veroorzaken op andere apparaten (IEEE C63.12 1987). Hoewel EMC-prestaties voor draadloze zendontvangers kunnen worden bereikt door gebruik te maken van onderbroken delen van het spectrum, is EMC in sommige gevallen, zoals interferentie tussen stoorzenders voor mobiele telefoonsignalen en medische apparaten, niet voldoende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tijdens de werking van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur veranderen de spanning en stroom met tussenpozen of continu, soms snel. Afgestraalde EMI verlaat het circuit via gaten, gleuven, openingen of andere ruimten in de behuizing van het apparaat. Geleide EMI treedt op wanneer een signaallijn de behuizing verlaat en zich koppelt aan voedingslijnen, andere signaallijnen of besturingslijnen. De vrije straling van deze lijnen veroorzaakt interferentie, maar de interferentie bevindt zich in een andere frequentieband dan die welke wordt uitgezonden door de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jammersignal.com\/nl\/\">stoorzender<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Effectieve EMI-onderdrukking wordt bereikt door een combinatie van het afschermen van de apparatuurbehuizing en het toepassen van sleufafscherming. In de meeste gevallen helpen de volgende principes bij het bereiken van EMI-afscherming: het reduceren van interferentiebronnen, het gebruik van afscherming, filtering of aarding om circuits te isoleren en de immuniteit voor ruis en EMI te verbeteren en het zorgen voor een lage gevoeligheid van gevoelige circuits voor interferentie. Deze doelen moeten door circuitontwerpers prioriteit krijgen en vroeg in de ontwerpfase worden aangepakt. Tegenwoordig worden veel verschillende afschermingsmaterialen gebruikt, waaronder metalen blikken, dunne platen, aluminiumfolie en coatings die op stof of geleidende tape worden aangebracht (zoals geleidende verf en zinkspray). Zowel metalen als plastic coatings kunnen geleidende lagen hebben.
