What are the different ways to implement a WiFi jammer?
The implementation of a WiFi jammer depends on factors such as the installation location and area.
In China, the main WiFi frequency bands used are WiFi 2.4G and WiFi 5G, which are further divided into WiFi 5.1G and WiFi 5.8G.
To make a WiFi jammer, you can design a WiFi jammer for a specific frequency band based on the on-site WiFi frequency distribution.
For a smaller shielding range, usually with a radius of about 10-20 meters, you can use a low-power shielding module such as the “Shengma” SMa-818B5. This module can usually meet the on-site shielding requirements, but the shielding effect depends on the distance between the WiFi signal source and the jammer. The closer the mobile phone or WiFi device is to the WiFi jammer, the better the shielding effect. On the contrary, if the mobile phone or WiFi device is closer to the WiFi signal source, the shielding effect will be worse than the far end at the same distance.
If the shielding range is large, about 20-100 meters, a medium-power shielding module can be used, which can effectively meet the on-site shielding requirements, and the principle of shielding distance is similar to that of a low-power WiFi jammer.
If the WiFi jammer needs to cover a radius of more than 100 meters, a high-power shielding module can be used. The principle of shielding distance is the same as that of low-power WiFi jammers.
Medium-power or high-power WiFi jammers like “Shengma” SMa-818K90 or K200 can be powered in two ways. One is to use conventional AC power supply, the jammer is connected to the 220V main power supply, and the switching power supply is used to power the shielding module, which is suitable for fixed locations or places that need permanent installation. Another way is to use a battery to power the jammer, which can be an external battery or a built-in battery. External batteries are mainly used for medium-power WiFi jammers, and built-in batteries are mainly used for high-power jammers.
Finally, the shielding range of WiFi jammers varies depending on the frequency band. Under the same use environment and the transmit power of the jammer module, the shielding range of WiFi 2.4G is usually greater than that of WiFi 5G. This is because the lower the frequency, the longer the wireless signal transmission distance and the smaller the attenuation.
Considering the different use environments and WiFi shielding requirements of different frequency bands, choosing the right WiFi shielding equipment will ensure a higher cost-effectiveness.
